I tried counting them a few weeks ago and got to 40 before I gave up - there were too many! Our first year here, hubby used to go out every night and sweep away the webs. We learned very quickly that it's better to leave them up. The mosquitoes were terrible! Now, we don't have to really worry about getting too bit-up on the porch - they can't navigate through all of the webs :) (Oh, and they leave us alone - I've never had a spider land on me from above or gotten bitten from one!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07335982303703120909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4100713229623155419.post-80722205570649753532011-10-07T13:03:34.195-04:002011-10-07T13:03:34.195-04:00Wow! and EEEK!

I can totally appreciate the beauty and am fascinated by the variety and webs, etc...
We saw one almost exactly like your first shot at my moms the other day. No camera though. Glad you got it!
Amazing shots here. Even fuzzy. I wish I wasn't so scared of them. Sometimes I think if I could learn enough.. know for certain which were dangerous.. I would be more calm about it. Hubby isn't quite as fascinated when I (and the girls) want to stop and watch a spider build its web.
If you have a chance I invite you over to Tots and ME to link up

http://totsandme.blogspot.com/2011/10/wordless-wednesday-october-5-2011.htmlkewkewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12668211363344117034noreply@blogger.com
