I've been seeing this on a lot of the blogs I follow, so I finally went over to Never Growing Old to find out more about it. Basically, "Java" posts five random questions on Sunday night for bloggers to answer on their own blogs and post on Monday. This helps everyone get to know one another on a more familiar level. After a blogger has posted his or her answers, he or she can go back to the original Meet Me on Monday post and link up with others who have done the same.
I'm very excited about this opportunity to find out more about the people who write the blogs I read daily! Please think about joining in on the fun, too. If you choose not to, at least leave me a comment answering one/all of the questions. I'd love to learn more about YOU, too!
This week's questions:
1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
I prefer straight chocolate in a dish. But if it's chocolate soft-serve I'll take a cake cone every time!
2. Do you read the newspaper daily? NO! I used to, but I really became depressed and angry. I have two children who still have lives to lead and, after reading the paper for five minutes, I'm not too sure I did the right thing to them by even bringing them into this world. It doesn't matter what aspect of the news you read, 90% of it is bad - environment, government, world peace... (I don't watch the news on T.V. or do more than read the headlines on Yahoo! while I wait for my mail to load.)
3. Marinara or meat sauce? Either as long as there is plenty of freshly-grated parmesan!
4. Last time you cried? Last night. Not really ready to go into details yet.
5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying? It's a tie between "Frickin'" and "SNAP!"
The first because I have a toddler and my stepson says it all of the time. I just cannot get him to understand that, while he may not be cussing, per se, when my two year old says it, it does NOT sound like "frickin'"!
And, "SNAP!" is just, plain annoying. I must be getting old.
Below, is the list of other blogs that are participating. If you'd like to join in, link your Meet Me on Mondays post. You can add the linky to your post by clicking "Get the Code."

Welcome to MMOM! Java always comes up with great questions!
The newspaper can be depressing for sure. I'm guilty of saying "frickin'" and "snap" from time to time, but I have to be really, really ticked to say "frickin'"! It's still better than the alternative...which I detest!
Welcome to MMOM!!! It's a lot of fun and I hope you'll be back!
Hi, welcome to the Meet me on Monday hop! Its a fun fun hop, I really enjoy reading everyones answers, we all get to know each other a little better. Sorry about what ever it was that made you cry last night, hope its better fast! :) Have a good Monday!
Hi Alicia, Great start! Sign me up! and thanks for stopping by my humble little Pink blog TrulySimplyPink I haven't been doing this very long myself...
You don't look like you need much help I think you could teach me a thing or two!!
Pinkim!
Welcome to MMOM. Glad you decided to join.
I love chocolate soft serve in a waffle cone. Soft serve in any kind of cone is a treat to me.
I hope whatever made you cry gets worked out this week for you. *hugs*
That is exactly why I don't read the newspaper hardly at all either -- it's just always so depressing and I end up worrying about my kids and the world they are growing up in. I try to avoid the news on tv too. Problem is my DH is a news junkie -- boy, did I pick that part wrong for my future mental health -- LOL!
Nice to meet you, and I'm following you back.
I am sorry you are having a rough time, I hope things get better for you... (HUGS)
Hi, I'm Kelly and dropping by and newly following from Meet Me On Monday. I love Meet Me On Monday. It is a definitely a great way to learn a little more about our fellow bloggers. I am complicated when it comes to ice cream, but I love it all. :)
I am sorry that you had the blues. I do hope that things turn up for you.
Hope you can drop by and say hello!

When my son was a toddler, our neighbors had a dog named Freckles. He would go to the door and call for him....yeah, I totally understand where you are coming from. :o)
Thanks for becoming a follower of my blog, I am now following your blog
Hi Alicia! Nice to meet you too :)
I use to eat ice cream in a dish but waffle cones are so tasty!
Ha ha yeah I found the button on Google and decided, why not put it on my blog haha.
Waiting for your answers too next week! Nice blog btw
Welcom, I'm new too. This is about my third one. I enjoy it. I hate the phrase "Frickin' also and unfortunately that's how one of my son in law's talks when he's excited about a story he's telling. Doylene
Great advice on ideas for my son's 1st bday party :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the comment and follow! I am following your blog as well....YAY for blog hops!

I am so confused as to why "out of the carton" was not an option to question #1.
Happy Monday to you! :)
